Our perennial desire to unite and to give shape to that unity into an organisation has resulted in the formation of SHREE DHARMA SASTHA SEVA TRUST at Mehsana in 1979, with a mission to render social service looking to the circumstances prevailing at that time. Among other aims and objectives, we built a temple of Lord Ayyappa, the popular Hindu Deity mainly worshipped in South India, for which foundation stone was laid by Swami Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati of Kanchi Kamakodi Peedhom on 4th Oct. 1980. Holy ‘Pran Pratishta’ was done on 17th March, 1984 by Thantri Brahmashri Kesavan Nampoorhiri from Kerala. It is believed that Lord Ayyappa was born out of the union between Lord Shiva and the mythical Mohini who is regarded as an’ Avtar’ of Lord Vishnu.
